Privacy Policy
BurrGrind is designed to keep your coffee data under your control. This policy explains what information the app and website use, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Effective: July 12, 20261. Information you provide
BurrGrind may store information you enter or create, including beans, grinder profiles, recipes, brew history, taste feedback, favorites, and settings. If you choose a photo or use the camera, the app may process that image to identify coffee-bag information.
2. Where your data is stored
Your app data is stored on your device and, when iCloud is available, in your private Apple iCloud/CloudKit account so it can sync across your devices. Bean photos are stored locally on your device. Apple processes iCloud data under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.
3. Camera and photo access
Camera or photo-library access is used only when you ask BurrGrind to scan or attach a coffee-bag image. On-device technologies may extract text and visual information from the image. BurrGrind does not use these permissions for advertising or background surveillance.
4. Sharing features
When you deliberately create a share link or QR code, the bean or grinder information included in that share may be sent to and temporarily or persistently stored by our sharing service so the recipient can open it. Do not share information you consider confidential. Anyone with the link may be able to view the shared content.
5. Website and technical data
Our hosting providers may automatically process limited technical information such as IP address, request time, device or browser type, and diagnostic logs to deliver and secure the website. We do not use third-party advertising trackers and do not sell personal information.
6. Third-party and public information
Grinder specifications, coffee information, links, and similar reference material may come from public sources or content supplied by users. Opening a third-party link subjects you to that provider’s privacy practices.
7. Retention and deletion
You can edit or delete app records in BurrGrind. You may also remove the app and manage its iCloud data through your Apple account and device settings. Server-side share records and security logs may remain for a limited period for reliability, abuse prevention, backup, or legal compliance. To request help deleting a share or other data we control, email us with enough detail to identify it.
8. Children
BurrGrind is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.
9. Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
